Interested in Becoming a Writing Consultant?
The Writing Centers is always seeking for good writers with great interpersonal skills to become Writing Consultants. If you have received a 3.5 or better in Writing 101 and enjoy helping your fellow students with various stages of the writing process, we want you!
Qualifications
- A 3.5 or better in Writing 101
- Good interpersonal skills
- Reliability
- Able to register and attend the Writing Consultant Training (Writing 199) class on Fridays.
- Completion of Writing 105, Writing 151, or Writing 143 is advantageous.
What's Next?
If you are interested in becoming a Writing Consultant and have met the qualifications mentioned above, please contact the Writing Center Coordinator, Rosemary Adang at (206) 878-3710 ext. 3822 to introduce yourself and attach a sample paper you've written for a class. After a recommendation from the instructor, you will be contacted and scheduled for an interview.
