So you need a second writing course…

Which one should you take?

 

With the second writing course, you’ll be able to build on the skills you’ve acquired in Writing 101 and refine them toward writing in specific contexts.  At Highline, you can choose from six different options for your second writing course:

 

Writing 105 Research and Persuasive Writing
Writing 151 Creative Writing
Journalism 101 Journalistic Writing
Writing 143 Technical Writing
Writing 201 Advanced Nonfiction Writing

 

 

Prerequisite: In order to take the second writing course,
you need to have completed Writing 101 with a 2.0 or above.

 

 

If you intend to transfer, you should contact the school you are transferring to before you select a second writing course.  Many departments have recommendations or requirements for a specific course.
