Writing Department

The Writing department presents students with opportunities to develop strong writing skills appropriate to academic, vocational and personal demands by offering a variety of writing courses.  When students have completed Writing 101 and other writing courses, they will be able to think critically and creatively, and write effectively.  

Writing is central to all occupations and aspects of life. Excellent communication skills, writing and verbal, are top requirements for employers.  Students are advised to take Writing 101 early in their academic career because it will improve communication skills for other classes.
