Main Eligibility Criteria for Worker
Retraining
- You are currently receiving unemployment benefits or have
received within the last 24 months or are facing a layoff, OR
- You are a displaced homemaker in that you were dependent on
the income of another family member but are no longer supported
by that income, OR
- You have been operating your own business and are unemployed
because of general economic conditions in the community in which
you reside.
Other Requirements
- Washington state resident for at least 1 year
- Be able to achieve acceptable scores on COMPASS test, or
have proof from another source on ability to handle college
level classes.
- Select a Professional/Technical Program for study.
- Able to attend school full-time. (12-15 credits)
- Family income is within acceptable limits.
Note: Unfortunately, Worker Retraining funds are not
available for transfer degrees, Extended Learning, and ESL. |
