What is Weekend College?
Attend College on the Weekends!
- Thinking about returning to school?
- Can't afford to stop working?
- Want to advance?
- Too busy to attend every day or in the evening?
If you can take classes only on the weekends, you can complete an AA
degree in one of these areas:
Weekend College offers maximum flexibility for students:
A blend of personal connection and on-line convenience
- Courses
are offered in a "hybrid" format: part of the work is done in the
classroom and the rest is completed on-line, wherever and whenever
it's most convenient for the student.
- Students experience the
"community" of the classroom, get to know instructors, and use the
many support resources of the campus — without full-time commitment
to class attendance.
Reduced in-class time
- Because some course activities are
completed on-line, the time commitment for classroom sessions is
reduced —almost by half.
Flexible course loads
- Students can participate part-time or full-time.
Mix and match
- Students in Weekend College courses can also sign up for Highline's daytime, evening, and fully online classes. Create a
schedule that works for you.
Flexible days
- Students needn't give up entire weekends to
participate. Individual courses meet on either Friday evening,
Saturday mornings and afternoons, or Sunday afternoon.
Same costs as weekday classes
- Tuition and fees are the same as for
daytime and evening programs. Financial aid is available for
eligible students.
