Please read this syllabus carefully and pay close attention to the
schedule below. All paperwork should be turned in to me during office
hours or to the building 29 secretary. If you have questions of a general
nature, please email me.
You may register for a maximum of one credit for every 30 hours that you plan
on working during the quarter. For instance, if you are working 10 hours
per week, over a ten week quarter, you could register for up to 100/30 = 3
credits. You may register for fewer credits if you desire.
Weekly Updates
- Send a weekly update to the instructor and your classmates. Report on what you are doing, what you are learning, and any challenges that you are facing.

Initial Paperwork. Turn the following forms in to me or the secretary in Building 29 by Monday, June 30. To receive credit, all forms must be filled out completely.
- Student Profile
- Training Agreement
- Learning Plan. This will outline your learning objectives for the quarter. You should have at least one objective per credit. Your objectives should be measurable.
If you need help with your objectives, talk to me or your supervisor.
DO NOT wait until the last minute to complete your forms. You will need input and signatures from your supervisor. Make sure that your supervisor has at least three days to review and sign your objectives before the due date. Late work is your responsibility!

- Resume, due: Friday, July 11
- Cover letter, due: Friday, July 18
- Mock interview, due: Friday, July 25

Site visit
- The site visit is an opportunity for me to meet with your supervisor and check on your progress. Site visits must take place before Friday,
August 1. Talk to your supervisor to find two or three convenient days and times and email me. You are responsible for scheduling the site
visit!

Final Paperwork. Submit on or before Friday, August 18.
- Self-reflection paper. Write a two-paged, typed, double spaced summary of your internship experience. It should include an analysis of how well each of your learning objectives were met, as well as a description of areas in which you feel you developed and areas that need improvement. The self reflection must be signed by your supervisor. Give your supervisor at least
three days to review your reflection prior to the due date.
