After completing my B.S. in Mathematics (1986), and earning my A.M. in Education and secondary school teaching certificate (1987) from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, I taught high school for two years (1987-1989) in California.

I decided that I wanted to teach full time at the college level, so I went back to school at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. There, I earned my M.S. (1991) and Ph.D. (1997) in Mathematics. I also met and married my husband Ken in 1991. I now live in Federal Way, Washington with my husband and three children, Matthew, born in 1993, Laura, born in 1996, and Haley, born 2005.

I enjoy working with students.  I was hired at Highline Community College and started teaching here full time in September 1997.  My office hours for Spring Quarter 2004 are Monday through Friday, 11:00-11:50 a.m. in 18-213.  I am in the Math Resource Center for my Tuesday office hour.  I am also available by appointment, or you may drop by my office.
