Mission Statement

The mission of the Interactive Media Program (IMP) is to provide students with an educational experience that will prepare them to work and succeed in today's high-tech Web design and development field. In an effort to increase the transfer of learning and the likelihood of success, IMP strives to make the learning environment as similar as possible to the work environment that students will find themselves in upon graduation.

To Achieve our Mission:

Our goal is to make the students' learning relevant to the needs of industry. This provides a foundation for each student to shape the work samples they develop throughout the program into a meaningful portfolio that they can present to a potential employer upon graduation. The portfolio must clearly demonstrate their skills and abilities in graphic design, writing for multimedia, Web design and Web development. The students also learn about the unique culture and values associated with the high-tech industry in the hopes that they will be better able to adjust to the demands of this fast-paced and challenging work environment once they do find employment in the field.
