Philosophical Rationale for degree and certificate
Student
Learning Outcomes
The
student learning outcomes have been written for each degree
and certificate (45 credit
hours or more) offered by Highline Community College. These
outcomes paint a picture of what
we expect a student to be able to do in any specific role,
or at any defined level; these outcomes
describe what students should be able to do “out there”
after they graduate from Highline. These
degree and certificate outcomes can be delineated at the
course level in greater detail. For that
reason, they are the link between college wide outcomes and
course level outcomes.
