Student Learning Outcomes Assessment Update Form

This form tracks departments' efforts to measure student learning outcomes.  Its layout is short and direct with the intention of simplifying the reporting process.  The information will be collected by the Assessment Coordinator for the discipline and provided to the SOCC at the end of each school year.

The assessment data will be used:

  • to guide faculty decisions about course content and methodology

  • to identify specific areas of success and areas needing work

  • to demonstrate an ongoing effort of assessment

The assessment data will NOT be used:

  • to evaluate any department

  • to support or deny faculty members promotion or tenure
