Physical Education Department

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Physical Education Department is to provide students, faculty, staff and community members with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to establish and maintain healthy life-style behaviors, and to increase quality and years of healthy life.

Department Objectives:
1. Promote and facilitate health and wellness on campus and in the community;
2. Promote and support professional development among departmental faculty and staff;
3. Continually evaluate and update curricula in response to changes in the field and the most current scientific research;
4. Continue to review and update equipment and facility needs that will contribute to student learning and to the health and wellness of the campus community;
5. Facilitate student learning and completion of their educational goals;
6. Accommodate individual student learning styles; and
7. Promote and facilitate student retention and transfer.
