Ron Sabado, CPA, CMA
I teach accounting at Highline Community College. Prior
to joining Highline, I was an audit manager for the Defense Contract Audit
Agency. I managed DCAA's the Seattle Branch Office which provides contract
audit services in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska. I graduated from the University of Washington in 1973 with
Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with emphasis in accounting and
from Central Michigan University in 1999 with Master of Science in
Administration.
I am a member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants, Washington Society Certified Public Accountants,
Institute of Management Accountants, and the National Contract Management
Association. I have held my Washington State CPA license since 1977 and am
licensed to practice public accounting. I have held a Certified Management
Accountant (CMA) certificate since 1993. Governor Gary Locke appointed me to
the Washington State Board of Accountancy on February 2002. I
was elected Chair of the Board for 2006.
I enjoy many outdoor activities such as soccer (playing,
coaching, and officiating), running, tennis, hiking, and my Harley. In door activities - a glass of
wine and a good book.
