Are
you looking for a rewarding career as a medical professional?
Polysomnographic Technologists work with physicians in
state-of-the-art medical facilities to diagnose and treat over 90
different sleep disorders.
It is a profession where you can make a difference!
To become a Polysomnographic Technologist
you can choose from two different educational pathways.
1) Certificate of Polysomnographic Technology
The certificate option is a full time three quarter program.
The unique format of on-line lectures, hands-on lab done in
segments and clinical internship arranged in the students home
location is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of students
from different geographical areas. This is a great
option for students working in the medical field or someone very motivated to complete their education in one
year and get working!
2) Associates of Applied Science in
Polysomnographic Technology
The associates degree option is a two year program offering the student a firm foundation in basic
respiratory therapy before focusing on polysomnographic technology.
Students attend classes on the Highline Community College campus the
first four quarters of the program. During the last three
quarters students change learning format to on-line lectures,
hands-on labs in block units and a clinical internship found in the
certificate option. This is a great option for students new to the
medical field.
Both options provide excellent preparation for entry in the
polysomnographic technology field!
