The Physical Education department is committed to providing our students with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to establish and maintain healthy life-style behaviors, and to increase quality and years of healthy life.

Our courses and facilities are designed to help students achieve the following important health outcomes;

  • Acquire health and wellness knowledge based on scientific research.

  • Identify assumptions, issues, and arguments related to health and well-being.

  • Be able to draw logical conclusions related to health.

  • Assess personal health status.

  • Design and implement a multi-dimensional health plan which includes generating and tracking health data.

  • Communicate health and wellness concepts.

  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the relationships between personal, community, and global health issues.

  • Access health information using textual and electronic resources, and be able to evaluate the information's validity and reliability.

  • Experience physical activity through active participation.
