Pat Bille

The mission of the Highline Community College Accounting Department is to provide both occupational and transfer business students with the contemporary business skills and knowledge needed to succeed both personally and professionally as an active member of our society and economic system.
Olympic Community College AA degree
University of Washington BA degree
University of Washington MEd. degree
Before teaching, I spent several years in accounting offices in large corporate settings--Phelps Dodge Copper (big in Montana and Arizona) and Norris Grain in Chicago (cattle, oil, railroads, and NHL hockey where I got to do the payroll for the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Black Hawks). Mr. Norris owned all of the Detroit Red Wings hockey team and half of the Chicago Black Hawks hockey team. And during the more recent years I did books for a nonprofit organization (church) and small sole proprietorships, including our own.
OTHER STUFF
My great husband Bruce and I have a wonderful daughter who is married to a super man (and Certified Public Accountant and Chief Financial Officer). We had a terrific son named Ryan who died just before his 18th birthday of a brain tumor which he had fought with surgery, bone marrow transplant, and radiation for 21 months. He would have been 37 years old next September.
We have two dogs (We lost 17 year-old Suzi in February, 2002 and Chase 16 on my birthday in 2005). We now have Katie (8 years of wild beagle), and Zach (5 years) who keep us well trained. Bruce is busy playing pool when he is not motorcycle racing (Pueblo, Colo. and Albuquerque, NM the two weeks before the start of fall quarter) or he working on the yard or or his garage. He races; I stand by. When not working on school or the textbook I enjoy the sun, swimming, reading, and exploring Arizona and nearby states as well as returning to my life-time home (Washington State) to see our daughter and her husband and our first grandchild who is nearly 4 years old. She is joined by a brudder (as she says it) who is nearly 1.
