This apprenticeship program of study was
designed for the working apprentice optician
employed by an Eye Care Professional or a
business engaged in eye care.
It will help you develop skills necessary to
deal effectively with an increasingly
complex eye care business environment and
aid in developing the skills necessary to
pass the Washington State Optician Board
Examination. |

Our Goal: Assist in the training
of apprentice opticians and promote
growth in the industry of eye care
through education.
Our Mission: Provide an educational base for persons wanting to
enhance or develop their skills as
dispensing opticians.

(Currently, Highline Community College is the
only apprentice education program for opticians which is approved by the
Washington Sate Department of Labor and Industries.)
