Welcome to the I-BEST Nursing Assistant
Certified Training Program!

 

Highline Community College's Nursing Assistant program provides you with study in nursing theory and practice.  You will learn basic skills in the classroom, campus lab and through a supervised clinical experience.

The program is approved by the Department of Social and Health Services. Graduates qualify to take the Certification Examination for Nursing Assistants.

   Fall Quarter 2009 Program Dates are:
  
September 22, 2009 - December 4, 2009

The program has been filled for Fall Quarter. Accepted students will be notified by mail. The next open class will be for Spring quarter 2010. Please download and print the application forms from this website.

The Process:

  1. Please turn in your paperwork at least one week  before the
    I-BEST Nursing Assistant Testing and Placement dates.
  2. At the I-BEST Nursing Assistant Testing and Placement, students will take the CASAS test and a writing sample to determine English language level for eligibility. Students who meet this qualification are put in a pool of qualified applicants and are then randomly selected.

NOTE: 

You must be present at one of the information sessions in  order to get accepted into the program.

Info sessions are scheduled as follows:

Winter Quarter 2010 -- There will not be a Nursing Assistant class during Winter quarter.

Spring Quarter Info Sessions: 2010 -- March 4 & March 11, 2010
11 am - 1 pm in Bldg. 26-216
