Highline Community College's Nursing Assistant program
provides you with study in nursing theory and practice.
You will learn basic skills in the classroom, campus lab and
through a supervised clinical experience.
The
program is approved by the Department of Social and Health
Services. Graduates qualify to take the Certification
Examination for Nursing Assistants.
The NAC classes are presented in either an
I-BEST or non-I-BEST traditional
instruction
delivery. I-BEST stands for Integrated Basic
Education and Skills Training. This means that there are
several instructors that teach in the classroom at the same
time. The nurse instructor and clinical instructor provide
the skills training and the basic skills instructor provides
the basic education.

Non-IBEST
