Listed below are some resources for getting funding for your training.

Classified Staff Training page: http://tbird.highline.edu/pres/classifiedstafftraining/index.html :   This is the web site of the committee that promotes classified staff training on campus.  There are announcements here of training opportunities.  Most are on campus and free.  This site also includes information on campus training funds for classified staff.

Highline continuing education:
Employees at Highline can receive discounted training for Highline Continuing Education classes.  The following link has information on how to pay for continuing education classes.

Washington State Library grants:
http://www.secstate.wa.gov/library/libraries/training/continuEd.aspx and http://www.secstate.wa.gov/library/libraries/grants/itce.aspx:   The Washington State Library offers Grants for individuals to attend professional library conferences or a local training event.  The grants are matching funds to what the library and/or campus provides, up to $500.  The first link above has further information.  The Washington State Library also offers grants for continuing education in technology.  The second link above has further information.
