CROSS-DEPARTMENTAL WORK ASSIGNMENTS Cross Departmental Work is a year-round commitment and collaboration of the Highline Community College fulltime library technicians and library management. The goal of this effort is to facilitate the library technicians spending six hours per week working in an area outside of the employee’s home department. Technicians will work six hours in mutually agreed upon departments within their regularly scheduled work hours. Certain mutually approved campus projects will count toward fulfillment of this endeavor. Departments participating in this partnership include: Circulation, Library Administration, Media Services, Reference, and Technical Services.
