Connect to your web - FrontPage
The first time you connect to a web site from any computer, you will
need to tell FrontPage how to find your web site. If you are connecting
to another web site for the first time (for instance, your department
web site), you'll need to do this as well.
- When you open FrontPage, go to File,
Open Site. A window will open with a list of files. At the bottom, there is a line
called Folder Name. In that line, type the name of your web.
- Your folder name is:
http://flightline.highline.edu/(first
initial last name)
- You must type everything, including the
http. Then click the "Open..." button.
- A new box will appear, showing any
folders in your web (they come automatically with folders called Private and
Images). Click "Open..." again and a password box will appear.
- Type in "ic\" then your username. For example: ic\juser for Joe
User.
- and your IC password. (This is the same
password you use to access labs, voting, and entry codes.
See IC Help for details.)
- Then, voila!,
you are in your FrontPage Web. Congratulations.
You won't need to do this again at
your computer. In
the future, when you open FrontPage, Click on File, Recent Webs (you may need to
click on the double downward arrows to reveal the entire menu) and your web will
be there. Click on the web name to get the password box.
