MIDS: The Multimedia Instructional Development Studio
MIDS is a drop-in lab for faculty and staff. It is
on the west side of 6th floor of the library (Building
25).
Things you'll find in MIDS
- 3 multimedia PCs and a Macintosh G5
- The latest versions of multimedia software like Flash and
Photoshop
- Audio and video production software
- A color laser printer and a large-format plotter
- 2 flatbed scanners with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for
converting to editable text
- 1 slide scanner
- USB drive and memory card readers
- DVD drives
- CD rom read and write drives
Each workstation has a large desk you can use to spread out your
work, and there is a central committee table where you can meet a team
of people to work.
