HOW TO CHANGE YOUR INSTRUCTIONAL COMPUTING PASSWORDS

To change your passwords for IC resources, please follow the appropriate instructions below. Please note that all passwords must comply with the Highline Community College Password Policy.

Student Accounts | Staff Accounts | Blackboard | Plato | Academic Systems

Student Accounts: IC lab/Novell logins; Flightline/Frontpage (editing your web pages or accessing protected web sites on Flightline); MyInfo

This password can be changed by logging in to the MyInfo site at https://myinfo.highline.edu and using the Change Password option. The MyInfo site will allow you to log in and change your password even if it is expired. Students who have forgotten this password may repeat the account activation process.

Staff Account: Office Desktop; Email; ThunderNet; IC lab/Novell logins; Frontpage (editing your web pages or accessing protected web sites on Flightline); MyInfo; Entry Codes; Elections; Evaluations; MIDS and FRC logins

This password can be changed in 3 ways:

• by logging in to the MyInfo site at https://myinfo.highline.edu and using the Change Password option. The MyInfo site will allow you to log in and change your password even if it is expired.
• by hitting Ctrl-Alt-Del while logged on to your office computer, and choosing "Change Password". Please see Changing your password in Windows 2000 or Windows XP for further details.
• by using the Change Password feature in the Highline Email Web Access (https://hewa.highline.edu). Choose Options, then Change Password. If you do not see Options in the left-hand column, first click on Shortcuts to show the Options button.

Please note: Highline faculty or staff who have forgotten this password may contact either AT (admintech@highline.edu, x4357) or IC (ichelp@highline.edu, x4880) for assistance. CWU-Des Moines faculty who have forgotten this password must contact IC (ichelp@highline.edu, x4880) for assistance.

Blackboard: blackboard.highline.edu logins

Passwords in Blackboard do not currently update automatically when you change your network or IC passwords. To change your Blackboard password while logged in, choose "Change Password" from the Tools menu at the left of the page. If you have forgotten your password, use the "Forgot password?" link on the login page, and the system will reset your password and email a temporary password the the email address on record for your account. Once you have received the temporary password, please login and change it immediately. If you use the "Forgot your password?" link and do not recieve an email from the Blackboard server, please contact us at ichelp@highline.edu or x4880 for further assistance.

Plato Academic Systems Algebra:

Passwords for Plato Academic Systems Algebra cannot currently be changed by the user. See information for default student passwords and faculty/staff passwords. If you need further assistance, please contact us at ichelp@highline.edu or x4880.

Interactive Mathematics College Algebra:

Passwords in Interactive Mathematics do not update automatically when you change your IC password. To change your Interactive Mathematics password while logged in, please click on the file menu, then choose "Change Password". If you have forgotten this password, you must currently contact us at ichelp@highline.edu or x4880 for assistance. Please see Changing your password in Academic Systems for further details.
