Web Browser

One of the following World Wide Web browsers (installed and able to access the Internet):

  • Netscape Navigator 4.7
  • Netscape 6.1 or higher
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x or higher
    IMPORTANT NOTE:
Interactive Mathematics requires a patch to work with Internet Explorer 7. Instructions for downloading and installing the patch can be found at:http://support.academic.com/knowbase/root/public/acdm9234.htm?
Modem If connecting through an ISP, a 28.8kbps or faster modem (56K recommended) is required.
Firewalls and Proxy Servers If you are accessing Academic Online from school or work (other than the Highline campus), verify that there are no firewalls or proxy servers between your workstation and the Internet, as either can prevent you from connecting to the AcademicOnline server. If you are unsure whether your network has a firewall or proxy, please contact your technical support department to find out. Instructions for fixing local firewall and antivirus software to work with Interactive Mathematics can be found at http://support.academic.com/knowbase/root/public/acdm9208.htm?
