INSTALLING YOUR INTERACTIVE MATHEMATICS CLIENT

Before you can begin working in Interactive Mathematics lessons, verify the following:

  • You have the Interactive Mathematics topic CD-ROM for the lesson you want to work on, or have installed the lessons on your hard drive.
  • Please note that in the campus labs, the client and lessons are already installed.

Follow these steps to log on and run Interactive Mathematics lessons.

  1. Double-click the Interactive Mathematics icon.

  2. Choose 'Highline Community College' from the list of schools.

  3. Click on 'Student'. If this is your first time logging on, you may be asked to complete an update to the client software. Please see Step 3 on Academic Systems' support page for Logging On to Interactive Mathematics for more details.

  4. Click on Do a Lesson.

  5. The Welcome to Academic Online log-on screen displays. Type your logon name in the Logon name box. Type your password in the Password box. Then click OK. For assistance with usernames and passwords, please see the Instructional Computing Username and Password page.

  6. Click the Do a Lesson button at the left side of the screen.

  7. On the Select a Topic screen, select the topic by double-clicking its name; or click the topic name and then click the right arrow under the lesson list.

  8. Insert the Interactive Mathematics CD-ROM for the topic you have selected into the CD-ROM drive of your computer.

  9. On the Select a Lesson screen, select the lesson in which you want to work by double-clicking its name; or click the lesson name and then click the right arrow under the lesson list.

Note: If you receive a message titled "Check Your CD-ROM", then you do not have the correct CD-ROM in the drive. Locate the correct Interactive Mathematics CD-ROM and insert it into the drive.

  10. On the title screen of the lesson you have selected, click the right arrow at the bottom right corner of the screen to begin work in the lesson.
