Educational
Requirements for
Chemical Dependency Licensing
Applicants for this license must have completed a minimum of 90
credits, including 45 credits of chemical dependency coursework.
Individuals who have earned a college degree, or have a sufficient
number of credits, may complete the 45 credits of chemical
dependency coursework required to pursue a license as a chemical
dependency professional. The additional requirements for becoming a
licensed chemical dependency professional can be found through the
Washington State Department of Health.
