Welcome to Dr. Heather Price's Chemistry 153!

Chemistry 153 is the third course of a three quarter series in General Chemistry for science and engineering majors.  Chemistry 152 or equivalent is the required prerequisite.  Major topics of the course include a group project on chemistry, and lecture topics in kinetics, nuclear reactions, representative elements,  transition metals, solubility and complex ions, coordination compounds, and organic chemistry.  One credit of laboratory is included.

April 10: Grades are available on blackboard http://blackboard.highline.edu/ Be sure to check your grades weekly and let me know if you see any errors asap.

Presentation Topic ideas: I encourage you to choose from this list or if nothing below interests you, you are welcome to propose your own topic. If you propose your own, make sure you ok it with Dr. Price so that you have your topic decided by April 13. If a topic has a line through it, the topic has been chosen by another group already.

April 1: An updated Kinetics lab handout is available. The tutoring center has a copy of Chapter 16 solutions manual.  Chapter 16 homework is due Tuesday April 7. Presentation topics are due Monday April 13th. Email me or inform me in class of the topic you and your partner want to present on. See the course calendar for other due dates related to your presentations and homework.
