Student Success Stories: Ramsey

Attending Highline Community College opened my eyes to my potential and gave me the opportunity to learn from peoples from many different backgrounds. I truly hold Highline dear to my heart because the faculty inspired me to success and always supported me in my endeavors.

One of my key support systems was the Honors program and Professor Barbara Clinton who gave me the tools, guidance, and mentorship that I had always been in need of.

Being in contact with such a diverse group at Highline gave me a perspective on life which is more appreciative and understanding of the differences that exist between people. Becoming friends with international students and learning about their countries has inspired me to further pursue international studies. It also helped me to realize how good we have it in the United States and led me to make the decision to serve as a future officer.  I now attend the United States Military Academy at West Point and I believe I couldn’t have gotten here without Highline, the Honors program, and Professor Clinton.
