Since my time at Highline, not only have I graduated with a
3.8 GPA, along with being an Honors Scholar, but I have
found a sense of security. I now have confidence to dream
big and achieve even bigger goals. I am still awed by the
fact that I, once a high school skipper-slacker, am
currently attending the number one nursing school in the
nation! From that, I know that this was all possible
because Highline and the Honors Program gave me a chance...a
chance to prove myself wrong and to let myself know that I
am capable, that I am smart, that I am worth it.
From these experiences, I know that Highline has a unique
and different approach to and for students. Please take
advantage of it as I did. Some of us may need second
chances, or even third, fourth, and fifth chances. Either
way, Highline has a body of helping persons that will move
you to achieve the unthinkable and direct you to the right
path. Don't be afraid to live out your dream.
