in Olympia, The Evergreen State College is a four-year, public, arts
and sciences college serving Washington state. Evergreen has a

Of the roughly 4,100 undergraduate students
enrolled for fall 2006, more than half received financial aid. The
average – in the form of grants, work-study, loans, tuition awards
and scholarships – was $10,600. Gifts made through the Evergreen
State College Foundation and funding from state programs made it
possible to award over 200 scholarships and tuition awards to
undergraduate students during the 2005-06 academic year, for a total
