Benefits for Students


IMMEDIATE

  • PERSONAL ADVISING: In Honors 100 students peruse college/university websites, register on-line for scholarships, and receive early assistance with constructing resumes, personal statements, and essays to use for college applications and scholarship competitions.
     

  • ACADEMIC PREPARATION: Honors Options in various courses challenge students to become better prepared for the upper division college-level work that awaits them at the end of their AA degrees.
     

  • PRIORITY REGISTRATION: Any student who has completed one Honors Option project, has completed or is enrolled in Honors 100 (Honors Seminar), and has completed at least 12 credits while maintaining a 3.5 or better is urged to register with the Honors Coordinator to receive this benefit.
