Benefits for
Students
IMMEDIATE

PERSONAL ADVISING: In Honors 100 students
peruse college/university websites, register on-line for
scholarships, and receive early assistance with constructing
resumes, personal statements, and essays to use for college
applications and scholarship competitions.

ACADEMIC PREPARATION: Honors Options in
various courses challenge students to become better prepared for the
upper division college-level work that awaits them at the end of
their AA degrees.

PRIORITY REGISTRATION: Any student who
has completed one Honors Option project, has completed or is
enrolled in Honors 100 (Honors Seminar), and has completed at least
12 credits while maintaining a 3.5 or better is urged to register
with the Honors Coordinator to receive this benefit.

TERM

HIGHLINE COMMUNITY COLLEGE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP
for the final quarter at Highline Community College for any student
who has completed the requirements to graduate as an Highline
Community College Honors Scholar.

CONNECTIONS to four-year schools' Honors
Programs and to mentors in these institutions
-
SPECIAL RECOGNITION at graduation for
those who complete the 35 credits to be a
Highline Honors Scholar.
