Facility - Rooms and Resources for
Meetings
The FRC welcomes the use of the three conference rooms for college
business by Highline employees and their associates. There are three
conference rooms available for scheduling.

This is the largest area (about 20 ft x 25 ft) and holds eight
trapezoid tables, which can be set up in different configurations.
When arranging the tables in 4 pods, they can accommodate 24 people.
The room is equipped with a data projector and computer in a podium
(See photo).
BELLA VISTA (25-634)
This room is 12 ft x 12 ft, and is the only conference room with
two exterior windows, which face the north parking lot and Puget
Sound. It holds one round table (approximately 6 ft diameter).
Maximum capacity is 10 people. (See

LARGE CONFERENCE ROOM (25-635)
This private conference room is 20 ft x 12 ft and holds one oval
conference table (ca. 4 x 8ft) that can fit 15 people around it. (See

Room Policies
We ask you abide by our room policy in consideration for your
colleagues and to insure smooth management of our space.
Reservations
The rooms can be reserved in advance on a first-come/first-serve
basis. Call the FRC secretary at ext. 4886 to make your request, or
include the appropriate room in your Outlook meeting request.
In case you did not reserve the room prior to your meeting but
find it available, you are welcome to use it. Please inform the
secretary of your intention of that so she can mark it accordingly
on the calendar and warn of any conflicts.
Availability
Highline employees can check the availability of the rooms using
the Outlook calendar.
- Go to the File menu and select Open Other Users’ Folder
- Click the Name button
- Search for FRC, select the appropriate room from the list,
and click OK
- Set the Folder type to Calendar, then click OK
- If the room is available, the FRC secretary can reserve it
on request.
Intended Use
Faculty and staff are welcome to use the rooms for meetings,
workshops, and faculty seminars that are related to instructional
issues.
Since the FRC was created to serve as a faculty setting, we ask
that it not be used for student groups or classes.
We also ask that you refrain from holding tenure committee
meetings in the FRC space due to their confidential nature and
sensitive subject matter.
Special Considerations
The consumption of food items is approved as long as current
library rules are respected. Please do not eat on the way to the FRC
and make sure your containers are covered.
When you schedule your meeting or workshop, the secretary will
inform you whether other activities are taking place in the rooms at
the same time.
- If a workshop or a presentation is scheduled in the workroom
at the requested time, the other rooms will also be marked as
“reserved” to avoid interruption.
- In case of conflict with the workroom, the secretary can
only reserve rooms Bella Vista or Large Conference Room after
checking with the FRC coordinator and the person using the
workroom.
