Highline Community College -- Library Exhibits & Art Gallery
|
|
Begins the afternoon of October 1st and runs through October 8th
This exhibit traces perceptions, attitudes, services, struggles, and achievements in the history of persons with developmental and other disabilities. The exhibit brings viewers through an illustrated timeline, chronicling societal interpretations of disability through moral, medical and civil rights view-points.
During the month of October we will display Outsider Art created by the artists at the Creative Artspace at Kent Parks.
The Exhibits and Art Gallery, located on the 4th floor of the Library, is an area for exhibiting visual arts. Our gallery displays the creative works of faculty, staff, students and members of the extended community in an effort to provide space for promoting their diverse talents.
Inquiries about exhibiting work in the gallery can be directed to members of the Library Exhibits Committee at exhibits@highline.edu.
