Science Scholars Program (SSP)
Highline Community College offers competitive scholarships for
qualifying Pure and Applied Science majors of up to $5,265
annually through a $600,000 grant from the National Science
Foundation.
Cougar Commitment
This scholarship will pay full tuition and required fees if
you’re from a low- or middle-income family and meet State Need
Grant or Pell Grant requirements.
For example, if you’re from a family of four
with an income of $46,500 or less, you could attend Washington
State University tuition-free.
Husky Promise
This guarantees that full tuition will be covered by grant or
scholarship support if you are a low- or lower middle-income
student and a Washington resident.

Seattle Pacific University - Electrical Engineering

Foundation funded scholarships for up to $10,000 per year for up
to three years to transfer students like you who have a
financial need and are committed to engineering.
SMART Scholarships
The Department of Defense (DoD) is proud to
offer scholarships to undergraduate, master's and doctoral
students who have demonstrated ability and special aptitude for
training in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics
(STEM) fields. The DoD also offers them career opportunities to
continue their research as civilian employees of a DoD
laboratory after graduation.

University of Washington NASA Space Grant
The Washington NASA Space Grant Community College Transfer
Scholarships are awarded to promising community college students
planning to transfer to the UW to continue their studies in
engineering, math or science. These competitive scholarships are
based on academic achievement, personal essays, recommendations
and future academic promise. Visit

Scholarships range from $1,000 to $5,000,
and are awarded for one year at a time. Recipients may apply for
renewal for an additional year, depending on availability of
funding and providing that they maintain program requirements
for their majors and a satisfactory GPA.
To be eligible, applicants must be Washington residents and U.S.
citizens planning to major in a science, mathematics or
engineering discipline at the University of Washington. The
Washington NASA Space Grant program values diversity and
strongly encourages women and minorities to apply. Notification
of the awards will be made in early May.
