Parent Education
Parent Cooperative Preschool
The Highline Education Department partners with
the City of Tukwila Parks and Recreation to offer education
opportunities to parents and families.
The Tukwila Learning Center is a parent
cooperative preschool offering classes for children who are two,
three, and four years old. Placement in a class is determined
by your child's age as of August 31.
Children typically attend for a few hours, two or
three times a week. The activities stimulate learning and skill
development in an environment that is fun and appropriate for the
child's age.
Parents, guardians, or family members participate
in the preschool classroom several times a month and attend a
monthly parent education discussion.

On-Line Parenting Class
This class offers online support and information
for anyone interested in learning about children and reflecting on
their approach to childrearing. It is not necessary to be a
parent or have a child to take the course. The resources
and activities are designed to enhance knowledge and skills for
practical parenting techniques for children from birth to seven
years of age focusing on attitudes, behaviors and communication.
