WEST-B Preparation - If you want to become a certified teacher...

Students planning on entering Teacher Education programs are now required to take - and pass - the Washington Educator Skills Test - Basic in order to be accepted at any 4-year college in the state.

The WEST-B measures reading, mathematics, and writing skills and is based on the basic skills and understanding required for teachers to be successful in their educator preparation programs.

For additional information, visit the PESB Web site at www.pesb.wa.gov or the Washington Educator Skills-Test Site at http://www.west.nesinc.com..

Students should contact an instructor in the Education Department for information regarding test preparation workshops for math
