Christiana J. Taylor Ph.D. began her professional career working alongside members of the Actor’s Studio (including Dustin Hoffman, Barbara Streisand, Peter Fonda and many others) at the Fishkill Theater in New York. Also in residence during this period was Broadway veteran Curt Conway, actresses Geraldine Page and Ellen Burstyn, and playwright Tennessee Williams who joined the theater one season to rework Sweet Bird of Youth.
Christiana's eclectic training included studying acting with several of the giants of the mid-twentieth century: Sandy Meisner, Lee Strasberg and Uta Hagen among other, zanier folks. She participated in 'Happenings' with Kaprow and rubbed elbows with Oldenburg doing collective theater/audience participation gigs. She was in the avid, if naïve, crowd at Bob Dylan’s first Hootenanny on the east side of Greenwich Village. As she describes it, "It was a fabulous time to be in NYC."
In 1970, Christiana arrived in Seattle to pursue her Doctorate. During that time, she worked at several Seattle theaters as a director. She has occasionally appeared in films on the East Coast, LA and in Seattle.
