Web Steering Committee

This campus-wide committee guides the policy, direction and integration of Highline’s overall web activities, including final adoption of web standards. Using collaboration and consensus this group is responsible for facilitating issues that cross among the web presences: Public, Intranet and Direct Instruction.

The Steering Committee will be co-chaired by the web coordinators. The co-chairs are responsible for maintaining communication with the Technology Advisory Committee to facilitate issues of hardware and software standards.

The initial members of the Web Steering Committee will be:

Maximum Steering Committee membership is thirteen. Participants may represent more than one of above positions, or designees may be named.

Working Committee(s)

The web coordinators will establish a working committee(s) to address ongoing development, implementation and maintenance issues. The working committee will initiate new development and new technical and informational approaches, recommend modifications to the standards, and determine the desirability and extent of templates, style sheets and other development aids. The committee will be collaborative using consensus to further the development and achieve the unity of the web presences. An initial combined committee may evolve into individual committees for each web presence to address issues unique to each presence.
