Checklist for completing your faculty site
Home page:
Decide between the two alternate home pages (standard,
alternate) and name the one you
want to use index.htm. Name the other one unused.index.htm.
Add your contact information, and other information you'd like students to see when they first visit your site.
Header.html
Change the text to your name and department
Pick a photo for the top right corner (additional photo options are in the "photos" folder under images.
Footer.html
Change the footer text that says YOUR NAME HERE. Don't
change the "contact email" link.
Leftnav.html
Change the course links to the names or course numbers
for your courses
Link to Committee, project, club and other web sites
Link to your department web site
About me page:
Add information to the page, including a picture if you want.
- Remember, the picture should be scaled down using
photo-editing software. Don't shrink it in FrontPage,
because it looks lousy.
Course pages:
Add information, especially syllabi. Remember to convert them
to .rtf or .pdf files
Contact Page
Work with Janice or Marc to change the HTML code so the form
will go to your email box.
Email Confirmation Page
Add your contact information, and any other information about
who else students can or should contact (like your building
secretary).
Links Page
Add interesting links, for instance information about your
field, blogs you follow (and would share), your own blog, etc.
