Highline Community College Library
strives to meet the needs of our users. When our collection does
not meet those needs, we may be able to get the material from another
library through an interlibrary loan.
How long does it take?
The average length of
time to receive materials can take up to two weeks.
Can anyone use the interlibrary
loan service?
We provide this service to HCC students, faculty and staff, to
support your studies or work for the college. If you are not
affiliated with the college, or if material is desired for purely
personal interest, we ask that you take the request to your public
library.
Does it cost anything?
HCC library does have to pay for
every interlibrary loan, however, we do not pass the charges on to
you!
How do I request an
interlibrary loan (ILL)?
A
reference librarian should be
contacted for help in determining if a request for an interlibrary loan is necessary.
Judy
Humphreys
and Martin Corbin in the Circulation Dept. handle the requests and phone the patrons when the ILL
request arrives.
A patron
may pick up an ILL at the Plaza Circulation counter.
