I-BEST Initial Childcare Assistant 

Program Description: This 13-credit program prepares students for entry level employment in a variety of settings working with children from infants to school-age.

Program Information: I-BEST classes are an excellent way to earn college credit while improving reading, writing, and speaking skills or preparing to earn a General Educational Development (GED) certificate. I-BEST classes include five hours of non-credit Adult Basic Education (ABE), English-as-a-Second Language (ESL), and GED instruction that all students must complete.

Degree Options:  Short Term Certificate earned in one quarter. These credits apply to an AAS degree in Early Childhood Education at Highline.
