Program Description:
Through basic computer and business classes students will prepare for entry level work or other college programs.

Program Information:
I-BEST classes integrate college credit courses with English language and adult basic skills. I-BEST classes include five hours a week of non-credit Adult Basic Education (ABE) and English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction.
 
Degree Options:
Short Term Certificates earned in one or two quarters. The credits for these courses will apply to the one year Certificates in Bookkeeping and Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable and to AAS degrees in Accounting at Highline.

  • Students must achieve a minimum grade of 2.0 in each class.

  • Minimum ESL level 4 required
  • GED or high school diploma not required, but  recommended

 Accounting Assistant I    (AA-I)
This 15 credit program teaches basic accounting and business skills to prepare for entry level accounting work or other college programs. These credits apply to certificates and AAS degrees in accounting and business at Highline.

 Accounting Assistant II    (AA-II)
This 15 credit program teaches basic accounting for accounts receivables and accounts payables and other business skills. It prepares students for entry level accounts receivable and accounts payable work or for higher level accounting work or other college programs. Admittance to AA-II requires completion of AA-I. These credits apply to certificates and AAS degrees in accounting and business at Highline.
