Omit Buttons/Links You Are Not Using
Removing buttons and links from the left side menu can help focus attention on the areas students should focus on. For instance, if you are not using the "Assignments" link to post materials, remove it so it will not distract students.
To edit the buttons that appear in Blackboard:
- Click on Control Panel
- Click on Manage Course Menu (in the Course Options section)
- Click the Modify button to change the name of a section, or the Remove
button to make it go away.
- Be careful! If you delete a section, you won't get it back! If you're not sure, click Modify, then un-check the options for "Allow Guest Access" and "Available for Student/Participant Users"
- Click OK at the bottom of the page.
