How to move a quiz from one course to another
In order to move a survey, quiz or test to another course, the questions must be in a Question Pool. Only a question pool can be moved from one course to another.
Moving a question pool is a three step process of exporting the pool from one course, importing it into another, then deploying the quiz, test or survey.
To move a quiz, test, or survey:
Export the pool of questions
- Go to the course where the quiz, test, or survey is located.
- Go to the Control Panel, then the Pool Manager.
- If the questions are not already in a pool, see the information on creating a question pool from an existing quiz or test.
- Please note that question pools cannot be made from surveys.
- Export the Pool of questions to be moved (see separate how-to guide).
Import the pool to the new location:
- Go to the course where you want the quiz, test, or survey to be located.
- Import the question pool to that course (see separate how-to guide).
Build and deploy the quiz, test, or survey:
- From the Control Panel, select Test Manager.
- Click "Add Test."
- Add a name and descriptive information, and click "Submit."
- You can then build tests, either from an existing pool or by creating the questions.
- Open a content area and click on Edit View.
- You can deploy tests in any content area. Tests can not be deployed from the Test Manager.
- Click on the Add: "Test" button.
- Choose the test you want to add and click Submit.
- Back in the content area, find the test and click on Modify.
- Click on Modify Test Options to set availability, presentation, and feedback options.
