Highline Community College’s athletic program began in the spring of
1962, with the men’s track team. In the fall of 1962, men’s
basketball was added. In 1965, men’s cross-country and men’s
wrestling became part of the program. Women became involved in
1973, when women’s volleyball and basketball started. Since
1973, men and women’s soccer, women’s fastpitch, and women’s
cross-country and track teams have been added to the athletic program at
Highline.
Different sports are available each quarter throughout the year.
Fall sports include: men and women’s soccer, volleyball, and
cross-country. Winter sports are: men and women’s basketball and
men’s wrestling. In spring: women’s fastpitch and men and
women’s track and field are played.
