Highline offers sign language interpreters as well as transcribers for access to classes and extracurricular events upon request.
Interpreting Service
Our interpreters are either certified or have been determined
qualified to interpret. Interpreters translate from spoken English
to ASL or Contact Sign Language, whichever is deemed most
appropriate for the student with whom they are working.

Transcription Services
Transcription services may be available to students. As with all accommodations, accommodations are made available after assessing the needs of a student and determining those factors of disability which might cause interference with a student's academic progress (see Access Services Handbook, Academic Adjustments.
