Annual Summer Camps

Check out the happenings at our "2009 Summer on the Sound Marine Science Camp!"

Summer Camp at the Highline Community College MaST Center  

Mark your calendars to use this summer to learn about ecology, geology, oceanography, marine biology, and water quality -

Camp 1: July 20 -24, 2009 for ages 7 - 10

Camp 2: August 17-21, 2009 for ages 11-13

  • Find out what it’s like to be a marine scientist.

  • Learn about taking care of the Sound and preserving the beach

  • Interact with a diver via video camera. Actually talk with the diver during the dive!!

  • Our audience are children aged 7-10 (Camp 1)  and 11 -13 (Camp 2)

  • Class Size- 25 students per camp

  • Hours/Day - M-F 8:30 am-12:30 pm

  • Charge - It's free!!

Hands-on activities include exploring tide-pools, handling sea critters, and more.

 

Both camps have been filled for summer 2009.
